Who is your baker?
I am Chris Standring aka “GnomeOne”, the owner and head baker of Gnomenclature Bakery. By day, I work as a Datacenter Engineer, but by night, I channel my passion for baking into creating exceptional gluten-free treats. My love for baking ignited at a young age; I was making brownies, cookies, and cakes as early as ten years old, often entering them into local town fair baking competitions. My dedication and skill paid off, as I proudly secured first place a few times in my age group.
I was diagnosed with a gluten issue 9 years ago. It was very hard to find good-tasting baked goods at reasonable prices. This personal challenge fueled my passion for baking and led me to create Gnomenclature Bakery. My goal was straightforward: to develop delicious, gluten-free treats that everyone can enjoy without breaking the bank.
As you can see, I love my puns, and the name of my bakery, Gnomenclature, is a clever play on words that reflects our whimsical yet professional approach to baking. The term "gnome" evokes images of delightful, mythical creatures, while "nomenclature" hints at our meticulous attention to detail and the artistry behind every creation. This pun encapsulates our passion for crafting unique baked goods that not only satisfy your taste buds but also spark joy and curiosity.
